Civ Robotics’ CivDot Revolutionizes Construction Surveying with $7.5M Investment

CivDot robots can mark up to 3,000 points per day with an accuracy of 8 mm, six times the speed of human work. This represents an increase in productivity of up to eight times compared to conventional methods. The robot’s ability to operate in rough terrain or adverse weather conditions makes it an invaluable tool for various sectors, including solar energy, road infrastructure, and industrial parks. The technology has already been deployed on more than 100 projects globally, marking a significant shift in surveying practices.

The use of stand-alone solutions such as CivDot is gaining relevance in renewable energy projects. Companies such as Bechtel have implemented this technology in large-scale solar projects, achieving substantial improvements in time and quality. Civ Robotics’ technology has been used to plot more than 10 million coordinates and facilitate the construction of solar farms in excess of 20 GW of installed capacity. The company’s recent profitability underscores its success and sets the stage for further expansion.

Civ Robotics is now poised to expand into the EMEA region and other strategic markets, consolidating its commitment to efficiency in large construction developments.
