UTE Journal Seeks Resilient Urbanism and Blue-Green Infrastructure Insights

The EÍDOS Journal, a publication of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at Universidad UTE, has issued a call for papers for its upcoming special issue, titled “Resilient Urbanism and Blue-Green Infrastructure for Sustainable Cities.” This initiative invites researchers, academics, and professionals to explore the architectural and infrastructural dimensions of contemporary urban environments, with a focus on blue-green infrastructure (BGI) and resilient urban systems.

The journal’s editor-in-chief, Dr. Majid Khorami, emphasizes the importance of this thematic issue: “We aim to examine how blue-green infrastructure and resilient urban systems can strengthen the performance, structure, and spatial quality of cities. Our approach prioritizes architectural, territorial, and infrastructural perspectives, emphasizing technical, spatial, and operational criteria over purely ecological narratives.”

The call for papers suggests several thematic areas, including urban drainage networks, mobility corridors, flood management strategies, public transport systems, and territorial planning models. Additionally, the journal welcomes submissions on urban management policies, materials, construction systems, and technical solutions in urban contexts.

This special issue of EÍDOS Journal, which translates to “Form” in English, seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical applications in the field of urban planning and design. By focusing on the commercial impacts of resilient urbanism and blue-green infrastructure, the journal aims to shape future developments in the energy sector and beyond.

As Dr. Khorami notes, “We encourage submissions that not only present innovative ideas but also demonstrate their feasibility and potential impact on the energy sector and other related industries.” The journal’s double-blind peer-review process ensures the impartiality, academic rigor, and scientific quality of the evaluated content.

Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s website, with a submission deadline of March 15, 2026. The publication date is scheduled for July 1, 2026. For more information, interested parties can contact the journal at [email protected].

This call for papers represents a significant opportunity for professionals in the construction industry to contribute to the ongoing dialogue about sustainable urban development. By sharing their insights and expertise, researchers and practitioners can help shape the future of resilient urbanism and blue-green infrastructure, ultimately driving innovation and growth in the energy sector and other related fields.
