Jakuba z Paradyża w Gorzowie Wielkopolskim, has shed light on the economic importance and technological advancements in the ceramics industry. “The ceramics industry is not just about bricks and tiles; it’s about innovation, sustainability, and economic growth,” Konstanciak asserts.

Poland’s ceramics industry is a powerhouse, producing 118 million tons of ceramic products in 2024 alone. This includes nearly 3 billion bricks and hollow blocks, a testament to the industry’s scale and significance. The raw materials for these products are abundant, with clay deposits rich in minerals like kaolinite, illite, and montmorillonite found throughout the country, particularly in the Świętokrzyskie, Częstochowa, and Tarnobrzeg regions.

The production process has evolved significantly, incorporating modern technologies that focus on automation, heat recovery, and the use of secondary raw materials. These advancements not only improve efficiency but also reduce the environmental impact of ceramic production. “By utilizing local raw materials and implementing modern technologies, we can significantly reduce CO2 emissions and support the regional economy,” Konstanciak explains.
